Leadership

Pastor Matt grew up in Tonawanda, in New York. He then attended Clearwater Christian College.  He has three wonderful children, Kelsey (Good), Klaire (Maranto) and Kyle.  After spending 12 years as a youth pastor, he came to Alden in 2000. His passion is to bring more people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Dorene is an Alden Kindergarten teacher who grew up in and graduated from Alden - and then graduated from Buffalo State College with a BS in Elementary Ed and MS in Special Ed.  She and her husband Rik originally came to Alden Community Church in 2003 to serve and be a part of the college and career, and music ministries. Now, they currently serve on the worship team as well as King's Kids children's ministry.  It is important to Dorene to  create a safe and fun environment for your child to grow and have fun while learning about God! 

Jeanne is a 1st grade teacher at Cleveland Hill Elementary School who grew up in and graduated from Alden and then graduated from Buffalo State College with a BS in Exceptional Ed and University of Albany with a MS in literacy.  Jeanne and her husband reside in Alden and have been attending Alden Community Church for 16 years.  Jeanne originally came to Alden Community Church for the children’s programs, where she raised her daughters, Alexis and Grace and has been serving within the children’s ministry ever since. Now, she currently runs the KidsZone children's ministry on Sunday mornings.  Jeanne wants to create a desire to learn more about their faith and develop a lifelong love of Jesus in the hearts of our youth.

Todd is a happily married husband, father of four, and grandfather of one. He's known the Lord for 20 years and enjoys meeting new people and sharing the Gospel. The Men's Ministry of ACC is meant to bring men together to talk about and live out the Lord's desires as a group, not just individually. We discuss the current issues we're dealing with in light of God's Word as well as learn to minister together to help widows and the fatherless.

One key that we think is important to fulfilling God's vision for our church is to have a thriving youth ministry. While we've got a group of us working together to minister to the youth, we are currently looking for the individual or couple that God is calling to oversee this ministry. Could it be you?
